About Stephanie

Years ago, the Lord called me to be a wife.   It has been a joyful journey through mountain tops and valleys for the past 34 years being married to my husband, Joe.  He’s the love of my life.  We’ve had the unique experience of living around the world because of Joe’s occupation in the corporate world.  As a matter of fact, we have lived in three different countries and four different states in the U.S.

Along the way, we had our children, Nathan who is 25 and our daughter Natalie who is 21.   They are our greatest blessings from the Lord, given to us by Him through adoption!

My blogging passions are christian health and wellness, stress relief, nutrition, and integrative medicine.  Writing is therapy for me and a way for me to connect with others who are going through similar situations.  My blogging goal is to always encourage and give hope through our Lord Jesus Christ.

For about 10 years, post college I worked in various capacities, but mainly in marketing management and advertising for a food brokerage company, a bagel company  and an ad agency in Oklahoma City, OK.  I enjoyed putting together presentations, presenting and pitching to accounts, writing copy for all types of advertising and writing press releases, manuals, etc.

From 1999 – 2015 I was a homeschool teacher and taught not only my own children, but taught music to other children in small group settings through church, home school cooperatives, and in my home.

From 2008 – 2013 I enjoyed being a mentor and teacher to young mothers for a program at our church called Keepers of the Heart and Home.

In 2013, I started No More Band-aids, as a ministry of encouragement and to be a resource  for caretakers and those  struggling with chronic disease or stress related illness. It has now morphed to include nutrition education and consultation services.  The inspiration behind No More Bandaids is my son, Nathan, who lives with a chronic gluten intolerance and adult ADHD and my Mother who has been  living with Parkinson’s disease since the age of 50.   The ministry opened the door for me to become a Faith and Health Ambassador through Faith and Health Connection, which is an organization designed to teach others about freedom from stress, as it relates to your health,  through dependance on Jesus Christ.  As an ambassador, I served throughout the suburbs of Atlanta, GA  and beyond teaching women of all ages about what the Bible says about healthy living through Jesus Christ.  I also had the great honor to teach with AJC columnist and published author, Patricia Holbrook of Soaring with Him Ministries .

In 2018, I embarked on a new journey.   As an empty nester, the homeschool Mom went back to school and in 2019 I achieved my certification from the New Eden School of Natural Health  as a Certified Nutrition Consultant.  I am also  board certified through the American Council of Holistic Medicine .   Since then, I have been working hard to educate people about lifestyle medicine by speaking about and providing evidence based health, wellness, and nutrition information through different modes of engagement.

In 2018-2020 I worked as a  stipend paid volunteer community health educator through the Atlanta Regional Commission.  Through this program I became certified to teach the Stanford evidence based Chronic Disease Self Management Program.   In 2020, I also began writing health related homeschooling articles for Homeschool.com.   In January of 2021,  I partnered with Sure Connexions to bring health and wellness to their new online business platform as a speaker and moderator.  As well, I am partnering again with Faith and Health Connection as a volunteer writer to uplift and encourage health ambassadors and to promote their Bible Study, Pathway 2 Wholeness.   I have also started a nutritional cooking tips video series for my facebook and instagram followers.

In 2021, we will begin searching for sponsors so that we can further the message of heatlh to our community.  If you have a business product or service related to health and wellness and would like to sponsor “No More Bandaids”, please contact me!

God Bless You!

    1. Stephanie It only take a moment to know that someone is representing the kingdom of God. Just started surfing your site and I’m in. I knew you you had some more tools. I use these also.

  1. Oh, Stephanie, I found you here via the follow you left with me. The link on your comment did not work right. Anyway, here you are. Now I will go back up and read about Stephanie. 😀

  2. Now I have read your “about me.” Guess what? I live in Mustang, OK a suburb of OKla City. Just think we might have been at Quail Springs together. I’m joking; I’m seldom at Quail Springs. But we have probably driven the same streets. Keep on teaching and learning!

    1. Hi Oneta! Thank you. Oh wow!! I do come back to OKC occasionally, but it’s been a long time since I’ve ventured over to Quail Springs. The last time I was there I went over to NorthPark Mall to see what it looked like these days. It’s amazing how things have changed over the years. Have a great day!
